Skip the fuss and ride with us

The largest Independence Day celebration in the Midwest is back! COTA offers the safest, easiest and most affordable way for you and your family to get to Red, White & BOOM! For just $4 round trip, you can skip the traffic and pricey parking and get dropped off right where the action is happening.

Plan ahead — download the Transit app and load funds onto your account to cover fares to and from downtown.

  • Adults: $4 round trip
  • Children ages 5 to 12: $2 round trip
  • Children four years old and under: No fare

You can pay for the entire family using COTA’s scanner system at the Park & Ride or bring exact change in cash.

You can take nearly any COTA line for service to the downtown area, depending on your direction of travel. Before you depart, simply plan your route via the Transit app or at COTA.com. If you have questions, you can ask your operator. We’re here to help!

Customers who want to catch westbound rides home must board their COTA vehicles on the west side of the river. No traffic can pass from High Street to west of the Scioto river — including COTA. Customers who wish to catch Lines 6, 9 or 10 going west at the end of the event must board from zone N.

Once you pay at one of our five Park & Ride locations, you’ll receive a color-coded wristband to simplify your return trip.
